Chandrababu and yellow media always try to portray as if only he can bring development and that's why people believed and voted for him in 2014. However, Chandrababu failed to create any major development in AP. So, he lost. People believed in the welfare politics of Chief Minister Jagan.

He is fulfilling the promises as mentioned in the election manifesto. Despite the weak financial condition of AP, Jagan is moving forward with determination to fulfill his promises.  Now Jagan is looking to go to the elections entirely on welfare. He believes that his welfare program will bring votes from every household.

At the same time, YCP calculates that 87 percent of people in AP have received welfare benefits. The recent graduation elections proved that welfare did not get much votes. But YCP claims that those votes are not theirs. They say that the welfare that they have done is mostly seen in the rural sector and therefore their welfare will definitely get results.

But even the opposition parties are not changing their agenda in the matter of welfare. TDP has decided to lay a big emphasis on welfare in the Telugu Desam Polit Bureau meeting held in Hyderabad recently. It has given signs that there will be an election plan with double welfare. In that direction, the party leadership has started preparing an election manifesto.

Now Telugu Desam is all set to say that they will offer even more welfare schemes that are currently available to the people.  They claim that the original address of welfare is Telugu Desam and that they have been implementing welfare schemes in AP since NTR's regime and that they have the patent rights over it. Having criticized Jagan saying he is ruining AP with welfare schemes, now TDP is clearly going ahead in the route of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
