YCP's prominent leader, Kodali Nani, known for his outspoken nature, is set to clash with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, for the first time in the Gudivada constituency of Krishna district. This will mark Nani's first visit to the area since the last election.
Naidu is planning to embark on a tour of several districts beginning Wednesday, and it is already known that Nara Lokesh is conducting a padayatra named Yuvagalam. Additionally, the TDP gained momentum in the graduate MLA Kota MLC elections held concurrently. Naidu has strategically planned these visits to the districts to maintain the party's influence and assertiveness without losing momentum.
Accordingly, zonal meetings have been organized, with Naidu visiting the districts of Visakhapatnam, Kadapa, and Nellore to prepare the party's leaders for upcoming elections.
All leaders of the respective constituencies are expected to attend each meeting, with a total of 35 constituencies being represented across the three districts. On the 13th, a massive public meeting will be held in Kodali Nani's constituency, Gudivada. TDP has consecutively lost in this constituency in the last three elections.
Given this context, Naidu has emphasized the need for giving a befitting reply to Kodali Nani. Defeating him in the next election has been viewed as crucial to revive the party's fortunes.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Venigalla Ram, a Kamma community businessman whose wife is from the SC community and both of whom are NRIs, will be given the Gudivada ticket. Ram's father-in-law, a senior pastor with a good reputation in several churches, has also been mentioned. It is speculated that Naidu will provide clarity on the ticket in the upcoming meeting.
