With the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections still a year away, talks about potential alliances are already underway. Former TDP minister Pitani Satyanarayana has recently made controversial statements about the TDP-Janasena alliance, should Pawan Kalyan seek to meet with the TDP. Satyanarayana spoke to the media in Palakollu and expressed his concerns about the BJP's involvement in the state's politics.
He accused the BJP of playing the role of opposition in the state while supporting CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy behind the scenes. He also urged the BJP to avoid such duplicitous politics and expressed his frustration at the party's stance on Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh. He warned that the people would soon question the state's need for the BJP.
The alliance between Jana Sena and BJP in Andhra Pradesh remains intact, although there are rumors that Pawan is encouraging the BJP to have an alliance with the TDP to avoid splitting the anti-government vote in the upcoming election. However, BJP leaders maintain that their alliance is solely with Janasena and not with the TDP.
Pitani Satyanarayana's comments have stirred controversy, with accusations that the BJP is preventing Pawan from meeting with the TDP. He criticized the party's efforts to keep Pawan away from the TDP and challenged the BJP to continue blocking him. A statement from a TDP man that BJP is hounding Pawan and not allowing him to take independent decisions is clearly a shocker.
