Despite the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) repeated claims that they will not form an alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu has expressed his desire to return to the BJP fold. During a discussion on Republic TV, known for its pro-BJP stance, Naidu praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that he would always support Modi's decisions for the development of the country.
He also expressed his willingness to work within his limitations along with the Prime Minister. When asked about the TDP's past opposition to Modi and the NDA, Naidu clarified that he had not opposed Modi's policies, but had left the NDA due to the issue of special category status for Andhra Pradesh in 2019. Despite BJP's denial, Naidu believes that it is only a matter of time before the TDP joins the NDA once again.
