In Andhra Pradesh, social media is a platform where political parties target their rivals. Tamil superstar Rajnikanth recently praised TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu's vision and leadership at an event in Vijayawada.
This led to criticism from a section of social media activists who dug up old photographs related to the actor. Some brought up Rajnikanth's alleged mistreatment of actress Silk Smitha, while others shared photos of him taking the side of Naidu during the 1995 August coup against N T Rama Rao.
Rajnikanth's remarks about Naidu were seen as out of context and inappropriate for the occasion. Despite starting his speech by saying that wisdom tells you what to speak, age tells you how to speak, and the audience tells you when to stop, the Tamil superstar lost his wisdom when he spoke about Chandrababu Naidu.
