An unexpected development has taken place in AP politics. Former MLA Yarram Venkateswara Reddy from the Jana Sena party of Guntur district, Sattenapalli, who was a luminary during the Congress regime, joined the YSR Congress on Wednesday. The politician, who won from Sattennapalli in Gunture in the 2009 general elections with a majority of 9,279 votes, has met YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy along with his followers and activists and donned the YSRC flag.
Present with him was Suri Babu, a leader of the BJP. He also joined the YSRCP on Wednesday. Water Resources Minister Ambati Rambabu, Narasaraopet MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, TTD Chairman YV Subbareddy, and APMDC Director Gade Sujatha were also present during the joining of these two.
With this development, the YSRC party gained more weight in the Guntur area. As elections are nearing, we hear there are many other politicians lined up to join YSRC soon, and announcements regarding the same will be made very soon.
