The real fact behind the Tirupati fire accident near Govindaraja Swamy Temple. Devotees got a huge shock when some photos and videos went viral claiming that a fire accident broke up in Tirupati and the chariot of Govindaraja Swamy Temple was ablaze. These rumors have been spread by miscreants to tarnish the image of the ruling YSRCP government and AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The fire broke out at Lavanya Photo Studio shop near Govindaraja Swamy Temple. Police speaking about the fire accident said that the reason behind the mishap was due to a short circuit. Apart from the photo studio, 5 shops burnt down in G Car Street worrying the pilgrims.
Police stated that no persons were injured and asked the people not to get carried away by the rumors spread by the miscreants who are out to impact the tranquility and peace in the temple town. The fire spread to the other shops on the first floor of the building complex where the fire broke out causing heavy damage to the shops. Heavy smoke billowing out added more to the panic gripping the area near Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple. To extinguish the fire, two fire tenders pressed into service and later two more were brought.
Police diverted the traffic and TTD executive officer A V Dharma Reddy rushed to the spot and ensured that no Temple property was damaged.
