NITI Aayog Export Preparedness Index 2022: TS ranked 2nd, AP ranked 5th. NITI Aayog recognizes the performance of various states in the country every year in various categories and according to the latest, it ranked the states as per their Export Preparedness Index 2022. According to it, the two Telugu states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are doing good.
According to the findings, KCR-governed Telangana state stood in second position in the landlocked category while Jagan-governed AP stood in fifth position among the coastal regions. NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery released the ‘Export Preparedness Index (EPI) 2022’ report for States and union territories.
The EPI 2022 Report evaluates the performance of the states across four pillars – Policy, Business Ecosystem, Export Ecosystem, and Export Performance. The index uses 56 indicators that holistically capture the export preparedness of States and UTs in terms of exports at both the state and district level.
The report categorized the States and Union Territories as Coastal and Landlocked. In the overall rankings, AP scored 59.27 points while Tamil Nadu topped the list with 80.89 points. Telangana, falling under the Landlocked Category, scored 61.36 points and stood sixth. Among the Coastal Category States, AP scored 59.27 points and stood fifth among the eight States in the category.
