Amaravathi: Jagan to dare even Modi. AP CM Jagan and the ruling YSRCP government is keen on constructing houses in Amaravathi and also distributing them to eligible people. However, Chandra Babu Naidu's TDP and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena have approached the High Court against the decision.
In the midst of all this, CM Jagan is set to lay the foundation stone for the mega housing program under Navaratnalu Pedalandariki Illu on Monday, July 24, at Krishnayapalem in Amaravati.CM Jagan shared "Amaravati belongs to everyone, not just the rich. These are not just houses, but instruments of social justice. Our government fought a legal battle in the Supreme Court for the poor and we won. Telugu Desam-backed farmers fought in vain to stop the distribution of house sites by creating legal hurdles. They even approached the Supreme Court saying the demography of the CRDA will be disturbed. These houses are worth 7–10 lakh. They are being registered in the name of my sisters. Social justice has finally been delivered. From now on, Amaravati will belong to all."
Jagan's government is planning to complete the houses in Amaravathi by Sankranthi 2024. Adviser to state government (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said " Jagan Mohan Reddy government will bear the entire expenditure of constructing 50,000 houses in Amaravati in case the union government stops funds for the YSRCP government’s mega housing program."
