Jagan says Amaravati for all

CM Jagan today laid foundation for the construction of houses for the poor in Amaravati and then addressing the people declared ' Amaravati for All'. Jagan expressed his confidence to complete the project of 50,793 houses for poor in the CRDA region and for 45 social infrastructure projects in the Krishnayapalem layout by Sankranti 2024. He said the project costs Rs 1,829.57 crore in the R5 Zone of Amaravati.

He said "Today is a special day in the history of the State. It marks the victory of the poor over their enemies." He added 18 cases were filed in the High Court and 5 cases in the Supreme Court against the distribution of houses to the poor that was legally defeated,"

Jagan added "The Government's unwavering commitment has prevailed, and now the economically weaker sections will receive houses worth Rs 7 to 10 lakh, registered in the names of my sisters. This momentous achievement signifies the triumph of social justice,"

About the protesting farmers, Jagan said "These farmers argued that providing housing opportunities to the poor would disrupt the demographic balance in the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA)." He added that the vested interests of Chandra Babu, Pawan Kalyan are persistently hindering opportunities for the underprivileged to own or build houses.
