AP BJP is trying its best to strengthen its party in the state. However, its voteshare reduced so drastically much to the disappointment of its supporters that even NOTA votes will be more than BJP candidates. There was a time when people of AP looked at BJP and Modi at the center and expected Modi to fulfill the promises and usher a new beginning to the state under the leadership of Chandra Babu Naidu.
But things fell apart and with Chandra Babu settling for a special package and Modi deciding to ignore AP and Jagan sweeping the elections, things changed drastically. Just before the upcoming elections, Modi decided to concentrate on AP and changed the leadership and installed Purandeswari as the state chief.
But the growing closeness of BJP with YSRCP is becoming the bane for its growth. Apart from it, BJP has taken decisions like the privatization of Vizag Steel Plant and also went slow on Railway Zone to Vizag. Purandeswari is planning to strengthen the party touring the state but she will be facing the heat in Vizag as she has to answer all the tough questions regarding privatization of Vizag steel plant and also the railway zone. It has to be seen how Purandeswari handle the situation.
