CM Jagan announced flood relief to victims. It is known that the state of Andhra Pradesh is witnessing heavy rains and the Godavari River is in spates. Many low-lying areas are getting displaced as river water is entering and submerging the areas. In the midst of all this, CM Jagan asked the authorities to speed up the rescue and relief operations.

In his meeting with collectors of Alluri Sitharama Raju, Eluru, Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema, East and West Godavari districts CM Jagan announced a sum of Rs 2,000 should be extended to each family, and Rs 1,000 each to individuals when they return home from the relief centers once the flood situation subsides

He said, “People living in kuccha houses in the deluge-hit regions should be given Rs 10,000 each, irrespective of the extent of damage, so they can carry out repair works when they are sent back.”He asked the authorities to utilize the services of the secretariat staff and the volunteers.

National and State Disaster Response Force deployed 200 personnel in Kunavaram, Kukkunur, Velerupadu, and P Gannavaram mandals of the Godavari districts to carry out rescue operations.
