PM Modi fails to understand AP

PM Modi fails to understand AP. For a long BJP has been trying to make inroads in the South. On and Off it makes is presence felt in Karnataka and if not it indulges in luring opposition parties MLAs and comes to power. But now Karnataka slipped out of its grip, BJP lost even the last hope in the south.

BJP national leadership is trying its best to enter Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It has been focused that it was the first party to pass a resolution in support of Telangana to please the people of Telangana. It gained some support but burnt its hands and changed its leadership and is now on self-destruction mode.

In Andhra Pradesh, it changed its leadership and ahead of the elections is attacking the ruling YSRCP. However, analysts feel that Modi and the BJP national leadership failed to understand AP and respect the sentiments of the people of the state. As long as Union Government and PM Modi take decisions against the interest of the AP, even if they change the state leaders, they will not see any change in political fortunes.

Had PM Modi taken some steps in favor of AP after the bifurcation of the state, BJP would have become a strong force. However, PM Modi decided not to give special status, railway zone, and now decided to privatize the Vizag Steel Plant. That's the reason the party candidates are not getting even NOTA votes.
