TDP is more powerful than Jana Sena in Andhra Pradesh. Even a small kid will agree to this. The major challenge for YSRCP in the 2024 elections will be the main opposition, the Telugu Desam party. Hence, the focus should be on exposing the weaknesses of Chandrababu, Lokesh & Co. Although Pawan Kalyan is making big moves, still he has no strong candidates in all the 175 seats of the state.
Not sure whether Jagan is aware of this and whether he has approved it, for the past few weeks it’s only Pawan Hungama by YSRCP leaders and even ministers. They are going hammer and tongs against his vehicle, its color, registration formalities and other things related to this brand-new vehicle which will be his official political trip vehicle. However, the criticism seems to be having no end at all and many of the ministers are not letting it go. Day in and day out, every move of PK is being viewed through magnifying glass. In fact, YSRCP fans are upset that in a way their own party members are giving free publicity to Pawan Kalyan.
They feel that Pawan is a political tourist and no one knows when he will be active and when he will go into hibernation. Some ministers also regularly dare Pawan to contest independently. How does it matter whether he will contest alone or go with TDP? Also, if the vote bank of Jagan is intact, there’s not much need for anything else for YSRCP to win the next elections. Their too much focus is not helping and
Pawan Kalyan is also utilizing the attention given to him in this matter. He is coming out with many satires and punches.
Meanwhile, fans of YSRCP need to genuinely check what their activities are and ensure Jagan’s return to power by being among people and understanding the people’s pulse. What matters at the end is that Jagan’s performance will determine his party’s fate. Nothing can go wrong, if the party is strong and the government performs well. Naveen Patnaik in Odisha is a best example. If too much focus is given to Pawan alone, it may backfire. It’s high time Jagan and his party members think of how to storm back to power by winning people’s confidence but not by riding on the back of Pawan Kalyan.
