Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy entered into 50th year today. The kind of leadership he has been showing is unmatchable. No one can understand what is behind his regular smile. His ideologies are new and his approach can be understood so easily.
Not A Man of Media:
The first and the foremost is his ideology with regard to the media. As per an inside source a proposal was kept at Chief Minister to support the pro-YSRCP media groups apart from Sakshi. To this, Jagan Mohan Reddy reportedly replied that he's not like Chandrababu Naidu to buy media and build an artificial hype. He also affirmed that he never asked even the Sakshi editors to manipulate and write something in favor of YSRCP. He concluded that he believes in God and the people more than anything else.
He has been living up to this philosophy and even in the recent public meeting he addressed the people, "You read and watch whatever the TDP media says. But just put your hand on your heart and see if the YSRCP government is doing any good to you. Just check what kind of support the government is bringing to your doorstep. If you feel it, please vote. Otherwise don't".
This speaks high about his hell bent attitude towards the media and the confidence he has on his rule.
Winning the voters with confidence:
It is needless to say that 95% of the promises he made during the 2019 elections are fulfilled, which is a rare phenomenon. CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy implemented the welfare program, striking a balance with development activities and social justice in a lucid manner even as Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) redefined the economics of inclusiveness in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The biggest achievement of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with DBT is wiping out middlemen, corruption and nepotism with money reaching the deserved beneficiaries in full and at the right time.
Political Game:
Coming to his political outlook, he is seamless and matchless. Any leader focuses more on his own constituency once gains power as the CM. But Jagan Mohan Reddy pinned all his interest on the Kuppam Constituency, which belongs to his rival Chandrababu Naidu. The heroism of Jagan Mohan Reddy is underlined when he first transformed the Kuppam region as a Municipal Zone breaking the long status of Panchayat. Chandrababu Naidu could never do this to his constituency in the last 40 years. A special revenue division was also established in the region by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy much to the shock of TDP groups. What CBN couldn't do in 40 years, was done by Jagan Mohan Reddy in just 2 years. Now the situation is turning highly favorable to YSRCP in Kuppam and the indications were seen during the Municipal Elections. The voters here are believing more in YSRCP than TDP. The biggest goal set by Jagan is to defeat CBN from Kuppam in the 2024 election. Fearing defeat, CBN may contest from another constituency as well.
Bringing Investments:
There has been long-standing criticism about his lack of focus on bringing in investments to the state. But according to the Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade (DPIIT) report (July 2022), India’s actual industrial investment between January and July stood at Rs 1,71,285 crore. Of the total, AP topped the list with Rs40,361 crore investments. The state is showing a steady increase in the collection of GST which shows that the income generation is on the right track. Income-generation is a sign of development and Jagan Mohan Reddy has also set up an Industrial Hub in Rayalaseema attracting huge investments.
