Tollywood story writer, producer and director, Kona Venkat visits the house of Gitanjali in Tenali of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. A couple of weeks ago, Gitanjali allegedly died by suicide after she was trolled by the opposition allaince, Telugu Desam and Jana Sena cadre after her video of praising Navaratnalu schemes went viral. Navaratnalu schemes were introduced and implemented by the YSRCP party in Andhra.
Kona Venkat said that he is also a victim of social media trolling and stressed the need to stop this kind of online behavior. “New laws need to be enacted to stop trolling,” said Kona Venkat. The producer also donated an amount of Rs.50,000 to the Gitanjali family and assured them that he would be there for them in case of any help in the future.
Kona Venkat consoled the family and wished peace for the Gitanjali’s soul.
