Despite the strong Jagan wave in the 2019 election, cinema actor turned politician Roja only narrowly managed to win the election from the Nagari constituency.
Roja has since been facing negativity and anti incumbency in Nagari and the situation is so severe that despite being an undeserved candidate Gali Bhanu is projected to win the polls.
In Nagari, YSRCP leader RK Roja is facing significant internal and external challenges in her bid to win. Internal rifts with YSRCP senior leaders Peddireddy and Narayana Swamy and opposition from many YSRCP ZPTCs are major obstacles. Additionally, corruption allegations have further eroded her support base in the segment.
TDP leader Gali Bhanu Prakash enjoys sympathy for his previous loss and benefits from his family's political legacy, giving him a significant advantage. He has effectively worked with local cadre to address issues and maintains a good rapport with leaders and party members. The TDP's loyal vote bank remains intact in the segment.
Gali Bhanu's victory only looks like a formality for now barring any miraculous comeback from Roja which is indeed very unlikely.
