A day after Telangana Governor Tamilisai Sounderarajan claimed that KCR and his administration failed to invite the state's first citizen (herself) to the opening of the Secretariat in the city, BRS Minister Harish Rao questioned whether the Prime Minister had called the President for the opening of Vande Bharat in a media interview. According to him, the constitution assigns the governor certain duties, such as raising the flag on January 26. However, it is not stated anywhere in the constitution that we must invite the governor to any opening.
Harish Rao also said that they respect her as a woman and as a governor, but what should be done if the state government sends a bill to the governor and the governor is harming the interests of Telangana? He questioned. He lashed out at her saying she is ruining the reputation of Telangana state.
He also mentioned that the state government has taken a decision to increase the age limit of professors in the medical department, but the governor has not taken a decision on sending the bill.
"It was KCR's choice to construct a medical college in the district, he claimed, and the NMC of the central government had enacted a law allowing the hiring of professors who were 70 years old. Despite the fact that there aren't any available professors, he claimed that professors over 65 can still be useful because of their experience. The governor is acting ridiculously," he added. "Notifications for the replacement of assistant professors are not being received, and the governor has stopped the bill to raise the professors' retirement age in the medical department for seven months. She is stopping the state’s development. Not just this, she also stalled other key bills meant for the development of the state."
What does the governor hope to achieve with this? What goals are being met? Harish Rao, incensed, questioned. He claimed that after submitting a petition to the Supreme Court, the professors' case moved forward seven months later.
