YS Sharmila remarked at a press conference at Lotus Pond on Tuesday that the Congress had scarcely gained any seats in the 2014 and 2018 elections and criticised the party for being inefficient in handling its own MLAs. "Congress - YSR = 0 (Congress minus YSR = Zero)" she added, referring to how powerful the party was when YS Rajasekhar Reddy was alive, both at the state and central levels, and how it has now changed.
She went on to say that the YSRTP is a force in Telangana, and she recalled going on a padayatra to respond to public matters even in 45-degree temperatures. In response to a query regarding the publicity surrounding the meeting with Sonia Gandhi, she stated that because it is election season, attempts would be made by all parties, and they are also receiving phone calls from other parties. She stressed that she will not be answering anyone's phone.
She remarked that the people of Karnataka delivered a cheeky verdict to religion and conspiracy politics, and that Congress won because DK Shivakumar was a competent leader.
Sharmila claimed that KCR is frightened that by leaking the TSPSC document, this administration has wrecked the dreams of the unemployed, and that if the investigation of this matter is turned over to the CBI, his son's treasure would be exposed. As a result, the SIT has been charged with conducting the inquiry. She wondered who else was to blame for the paper leak if not the IT department.
The ruling party claims that the opposition leaked the question paper. She stated that an affidavit in the name of KCR has been written in order to obtain assurances from the jobless that there will be no paper leaks, paper theft would not occur in the future, and examinations will be performed without incident.
