The junior panchayat secretaries who went on strike a few days ago in demand of regularising their posts received positive news from Telangana state chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. KCR made the decision to regularise junior panchayat secretaries' employment. KCR gave Sandeep Kumar Sultania, the Chief Secretary of the Panchayat Raj Department, the task of completing the relevant formalities. He suggested creating committees to assess the Junior Panchayat Secretaries' performance at the district level, under the direction of the Collectors.
Members of this committee will include the District Collector, Additional Collector (Local Bodies), District Forest Officer, District SP, or DCP. A secretary level or HOD level state level officer will serve as an observer for this. A committee will be established at the state level, led by the Principal Secretary of the Panchayat Raj Department. The state level committee will review the proposal that was submitted by the district level committee. Following that, the state-level committee will provide the Chief Secretary a report.
Junior Panchayat Secretaries have been appointed by District Collectors on a temporary basis in a few Gramme Panchayats around the State. In the subsequent stage of regularisation, CM KCR instructed to begin the process of replacing new Junior Panchayat Secretaries in these positions as well.
Big gift to junior panchayat secretaries by KCR
