Hyderabad as the Second Capital. Demand to make Hyderabad as the second capital of India is once again gaining momentum. Former Maharashtra Governor, and senior BJP leader, Ch Vidyasagar Rao speaking at an event said that Hyderabad should be made the second capital.
He said “I exude confidence that Hyderabad will become a second capital for the country in future”,He asked all the parties in Telangana to forget their political differences and fight with the center and pressurise it to make Hyderabad as the second capital. Earlier Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s grandson, Prakash Ambedkar, and advocated for Hyderabad as the nation’s second capital.
He added "Hyderabad, endowed with requisite lands, buildings and favourable climate, is a natural choice to become the country’s second capital,” It is known that Dr.BR.Ambedkar the chief architect of Indian Constitution long time proposed the Union Government to make Hyderabad the second capital of the country but conveniently successive governments ignored.
He pointed out “Dr. Ambedkar in his book on small States in 1956 envisioned that Hyderabad is bound to become the second capital of the country. He opined that it was imperative to make Hyderabad a second capital for India’s sovereignty and mainly security perspective,”
Other opposition parties are however saying that since the BJP is ruling at the centre, they should have clarity on the entire issue.
