Telangana Martyrs Memorial inauguration is tomorrow. Telangana Martyrs Memorial, besides the boat club, Tank Bund will be inaugurated tomorrow on 22 June. Following this, Hyderabad Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory and imposed restrictions and diverted many regions. Traffic will be diverted from 3 pm to 9 pm.
Hyderabad traffic police have appealed to all commuters to follow traffic updates on our social media platforms: @Hyderabad Traffic Police Facebook page (facebook.com/HYDTP) and @HYDP (Twitter handle). The traffic police have also appealed to commuters to take note of the above diversions, take alternate routes to reach their destinations, and cooperate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
M.V. Ramana Reddy, the designer and project supervisor, sometime back said, "The major work is completed. We are giving finishing touches to the structure. The insides of the museum will be finalised by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao soon. We have been given instructions to complete the work by the end of this month. The structure will be inaugurated during the 21-day Telangana Formation Day celebrations".
The structure, built in the memory of people who laid down their lives for the cause of the state, was earlier scheduled to be inaugurated in February. The memorial is shaped like a lamp with the light and it can accommodate around 300cars and 600 two wheelers.
