Underconstruction flyover collapses in LB.Nagar. The accident resulted in the injuries to ten people. The accident happened when the workers were laying the slab between two pillars and much to their shock it caved in. Most of the workers who were from UP and Bihar were trapped in the iron frames of the slab.

Rescue teams reached the spot after the accident which happened in the early hours of today and started pulling out the injured. All of them were rushed to the nearby hospitals.

The DRF team of GHMC reached the spot. Efforts are going on to check of any other worker is trapped under the debris. The under-construction ramp is at Sagar Ring road and it connects the Chandrayanagutta to LB Nagar flyover to Chintalkunta. The flyover is a part of Hyderabad’s Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP). The work is being executed by BSCPL company.

One of the workers fractured his leg and the condition of the two workers is serious. The work for the flyover's 12 slabs was completed and the construction of the ramp to connect the flyover towards Chintalkunta has just begun. The slab around 10 metres long collapsed from a height of around 15 feet.

MLA, D.Sudheer Reddy of LB.Nagar visited the spot and took stock of the situation and directed authorities to provide good medical care to the injured. A case has been registered against the contractor. GHMC revealed "A small part of clover collapsed during construction of BairamalgudaFlyoverRamp. 8 injured & shifted to KIMS for treatment. Detailed inquiry will be on & action will be initiated if necessary. The situation is under control, GHMC assures citizens not to worry as it is being taken care"
