Sharmila hides, and Cong exposes. Rumours have been rife that Sharmila, sister of AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, will be merging her YSRTP in the Congress and she will be soon handed over the responsibility of APCC chief in the coming elections and this will result in the mouthwatering contest between brother and sister.
Credence was gained when reports came of Sharmila meeting Congress leader DK. Shiva Kumar silently and then reports came that Congress after its victory in Karnataka, handed the responsibility of handling the Telangana state poll affair to DK. Shiva Kumar, Dpy CM of Karnataka. Sharmila also greeted Rahul Gandhi on his birthday. Reports also came that Sharmila will announce the merger on 8 July, on the birth anniversary of her father YSR in Idupulayapa after paying her respects.
In the midst of all this, a couple of days back Sharmika cameup with a shocking post saying that all the rumors of merging her party in Congress are baseless and she is the daughter-in-law of Telangana and will fight for the cause of Telangana. However, Congress's top leaders went on record that Sharmila will soon merge her party in Congress.
Now reports are coming that the talks are in the final stages and inside talk is Sharmila will not concentrate on Andhra Pradesh and will confine herself to Telangana. But Congress leader Manikrao Thakre said that she is in touch with the Congres party. He said, " If Sharmila agrees to go to the Rajya Sabha and lead the Congress in AP, the party was willing to allot three Assembly segments to her close followers." Sources say, Sharmila rejected the offer.
