KTR inaugurates Uppal Skywalk Tower

KTR inaugurated the Uppal Skywalk Tower and this ensured that the woes of the pedestrians are virtually minimized. It is known that the Uppal has been the most congested and results in huge traffic jams and people used to find it difficult to cross the roads.

KTR came up with the idea of Uppal Skywalk Tower and finally, his brainchild is completed. Uppal Skywalk was built at a cost of Rs 25 crore by the HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority). The Skywalk was designed with the objective of the convenience of the public. Around 1,000 tonnes of steel have been used to build the pedestrian-friendly facility.

The Uppal junction witnesses huge traffic with bus terminals around the junction with buses going towards Ghatkesar, Ramanthapur, and Secunderabad. People are congratulating and thanking KTR for addressing their woes so quickly. The Skywalk is a pedestrian-friendly facility, which has six entry and exit points, 8 lifts, and 4 escalators. About 1,000 tons of iron has been used to build the facility. Jindal Steel along with SAIL and Visakha Steel were used in the construction of the project.

The hop-on stations for the skywalk are the stations towards Nagole Road, Ramanthapur Road, GHMC theme park, the Uppal police station and Uppal electric substation. Minister Malla Reddy, MLA Bethi Subhash Reddy, GHMC former mayor Bonthu Rammohan and corporators participated in the inauguration event.
