Owaisi aims to become the kingmaker. Owaisi and his party MIM wield an iron-like grip in the old city and it always sweeps the seven constituencies whenever polls are held. Owaisi's MIM and KCR's BRS share good bonhomie and relationship and other parties accused CM KCR of dancing to the tunes of MIM and Owaisi whenever any law and order problem arises.
In the midst of all this, Owaisi shocked all and even his friend kCR by announcing that his party MIM will play a decisive role in the formation of the next government in Telangana and he will play the role of a kingmaker. Owaisi went to the Sarangpur Jail to meet persons who are facing charges of attempting to murder Bodhan BRS MLA Shakil Amer.
He also made sensational comments saying MIM will contest against Shakil and BRS in the next elections in Bodhan and teach him a lesson. He accused the MLA of slapping false cases on his party leaders. He reminded that those leaders cops arrested worked for the victory of Shakil and Kavitha in the last elections.
But analysts say this is not the first time, MIM expressed such a desire. Even earlier, the party’s floor leader, Akbaruddin Owaisi, mentioned that they plan to contest at least 50 out of the 119 seats in Telangana.
