Owaisi's MIM enjoys an iron-like grip in the old city and generally, the party will not contest in other regions and do not concentrate much. MIM chief Owaisi only plans to be a kingmaker rather than a King.
BJP which is trying to make inroads in Telangana and is trying to come to power now dared MIM to contest all the seats in Telangana. He said if MIM has guts it should contest all the 119 seats for the Telangana assembly. He added “If the AIMIM leadership has the guts, they should contest from all the 119 assembly seats in the upcoming assembly polls. We will ensure that all their candidates lose their deposits,”
He asked all the Hindu voters to get united and vote for BJP. He pointed out " In Bihar, the AIMIM won five seats with just 12 percent of voters from the minority community. In Telangana, 80 percent of voters are from the majority community, and at this rate, how many seats should the BJP be winning here?"
He predicted that those who win from Congress will ultimately join the BRS. He said "Before Telangana state was formed, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his family had nothing but now they are worth thousands of crores of rupees. People are fed up with the BRS and KCR and are waiting to defeat them."
