SC postpones Kavitha's plea against RD. It is known that CM KCR's daughter Kavitha who is also BRS MLC is named by ED and CBI in the Delhi liquor scam. ED issued a summons for Kavitha to appear in person regarding the investigation. However, Kavitha approached Supreme Court against the ED summons.
Supreme Court which was supposed to hear Kavitha's plea against ED summons today. The case came up for hearing before the bench of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia. However, the case was postponed as the proceedings in Court No 2 and Court No 8 got canceled. Court No 2 proceedings were canceled as Justice Sudhanshu Kaul was not available. Court informed that fresh dates for the hearing of the cases will be informed soon.
This is not the first time, Kavitha approached Supreme Court against ED. When she approached Supreme Court in March, the court refused to provide her respite despite her request for interim protection. Now all eyes are on Supreme Court and what judgment it comes regarding Kavitha's plea. It is known that ED had questioned Kavitha on multiple occasions.
Recently rumors spread that BRS and BJP came into secret understanding and Telangana CM KCR's on KTR went to Delhi to meet union ministers only to save his sister Kavitha from the Delhi liquor scam and that was the reason, ED is going slow against Kavitha. The way BRS and BJP reduced their attacks and counterattacks against each other are also increasing the suspicion.
