High Court on Revanth Reddy's PIL

TPCC chief Revanth Reddy approached Telangana High Court over RTI's refusal to share the information regarding toll Operate Transfer (TOT) model at Nehru Outer Ring Road, Hyderabad,

Following that The Telangana High Court came down heavily on the state government, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), and Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited and asked them to explain their failure to furnish the information.

The bench headed by B. Vijaysen Reddy said “If a member of the Parliament can’t speak about public activities, then who can? If he does not have information, what will he be able to say in the parliament? He needs to ventilate public grievance,”

The court directed the government to furnish the details to Revanth Reddy for which the Advocate General promised to give the details by August 2nd. The Court posted the further hearing on 3 August 2023.

Revanth in his complaint alleged "We have not received any response to the RTI query from the principal secretary to the state government Arvind Kumar yet,” He also stated in his plea that police stalled him from personally meeting the principal secretary of HMDA at the Secretariat to file the application on that day. Revanth said he filed another application on June 14 after HGCL provided partial details on the matter.
