KTR's relief work challenge to the officials. Hyderabad and the entire state of Telangana got lashed with heavy rains during the last one week. Following the CM KCR and the ruling BRS government quickly swung into action to provide rescue and relief to the affected people.
In the meantime, KTR gave relief work challenges to the officials. He asked the officials to take the relief work operations seriously. He said "The State government was prepared to provide any form of assistance in this regard. Recalling that leaves for all staff were canceled, he directed the officials to coordinate with other departments for the relief works. The MA&UD Minister emphasized the utmost importance of preventing any loss of life."
He held a teleconference with the officials and directed them to act on a warfooting. He held discussions with the officials on parenting waterborne diseases, provision of safe drinking water, sanitation management, and the rehabilitation of highways and other arterial roads to ensure they are motorable again.He asked the officials to undertake sanitization drives and create awareness among people about the importance of boiling and filtering water before drinking.
He called for coordination between the officials and District Medical and Health Officers (DMHOs) for medical and health programmes.
