Uttam Kumar Reddy rubbishes rumours

Uttam Kumar Reddy rubbishes rumours. For the last few days, rumours have been spreading thick and fast that former TPCC chief, Nalgonda MP Uttam Kumar Reddy would be joining the ruling BRS along with his wife Padmavathi Reddy quitting the Congress party. This came as a shock to the Congress party which is confident of conquering the state of Telangana after its resounding win in Karnataka.

Congress top brass started meeting Uttam Kumar Reddy. In the midst of all this, Uttam Kumar Reddy speaking to scribes rubbished all those rumors. He came up with a press statement which read '“People may label me as a disgruntled leader. However, there is no truth in the malicious rumour that I am leaving the Congress party,

He accused few leaders of the Congress party who are idle are spreading such baseless rumours against him. He said "I condemn these rumours in the social media/ media. They are totally false. I am proud to have served the Congress party loyally for 30 years continuously and have won 6 consecutive elections, without losing an election after 1994. My wife, Smt Padmavathi Reddy, has been an MLA from Kodad, lost the 2018 assembly elections by a few hundred votes, and is living in Kodad and working for the people there to the best of her ability as also for the Congress party as Vice President of PCC."

He clarified " wish to once again reiterate that I have no business, no contracts, no land deals with any government. Couple of you tube channels and media houses closely associated with a congress leader have been publishing false, defamatory stories about me and my wife which have caused us deep pain and anguish. We condemn the baseless and false stories of resigning from Congress Party and joining the BRS party."
