Governor Tamilisai puts brakes on RTC merger into the Govt

Governor Tamilisai puts brakes on RTC merger into the Govt. Telangana CM KCR decided to merge the RTC into the Government and his decision delighted all the employees of the RTC. Even as the workers are hailing BRS government's decision and are in a celebratory mode with everyone congratulating KCR, Governor Tamilisai put brakes on the merger.

it is known that CM KCR and Governor Tamilisai are at loggerheads on various issues and she kept many bills pending. Following this, the government requested the Governor to approve the bills at the earliest. However, Rajbhavan sources shared "The Assembly was scheduled to meet on August 3 and the Draft Bill of "The TSRTC (Absorption of Employees into Government Service) Bill, 2023 was received at Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad on August 2 at about 3.30 pm only requesting for permission to introduce the same in Assembly. It requires some more time to examine it and obtain legal opinion for taking a decision on the request."

But with the assembly session ending in two days the chances of tabling the TSRTC merger Bill in the last session before the elections are near-zero. CM KCR will speak on the issue in the coming days.
