The colourful festival of Bathukamma 2025 was celebrated in grand style at the Ramjas College Grounds, University of Delhi, uniting thousands of Telugu students and families to honour Telangana’s iconic floral tradition. The event’s cultural resonance was amplified by the presence of Hon’ble Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who actively participated in the festivities, and Upasana Kamineni Konidela—entrepreneur, philanthropist, and Guest of Honour.

Sharing the stage with CM Rekha Gupta, Upasana Konidela lit the ceremonial lamp and delivered a heartfelt address on the power and significance of Bathukamma. She described the festival as a symbol of “womanhood and community, representing strength, resilience, and creativity.” Expressing pride in watching Telugu youth carry traditions forward in the capital city, Upasana thanked Rekha Gupta for her enthusiastic embrace of Telangana culture and her commitment to promoting intercultural unity.

As Guest of Honour, Upasana was felicitated with a shawl and traditional memento reflecting Telangana heritage, recognizing her contributions as a wellness advocate and cultural ambassador. Her engaging presence—singing, dancing, and celebrating with students—made a lasting impression on over 4,000 attendees, who felt immense pride in seeing Telugu culture flourish in Delhi.

The festival, organized by the Telugu Students’ Association (TSA) Delhi under President Vivek Reddy and Advisor Karthik Reddy, featured dazzling cultural performances, traditional rituals, and a spirited puja ceremony. Connected to the vibrant energy of Dussehra, Bathukamma 2025 in Delhi stood as an inspiring showcase of tradition, unity, and cultural pride. TSA Delhi continues to nurture community bonds and Telugu heritage in the heart of India’s capital.
