History in the Making: Raghava Media Unveils SITSA Curtain Raiser for South India’s First Multi-Lingual TV Awards
Hyderabad, March 29, 2026:
The Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad witnessed a glittering milestone for the television industry as Raghava Media hosted the grand curtain raiser for the South Indian TV Serial Awards (SITSA). Attended by a constellation of small-screen stars, directors, and producers, the event marked the beginning of a historic journey to honour the television fraternity across four South Indian languages on a single, prestigious platform.
A Unified Platform for Four States
For decades, television awards were largely restricted to individual channels hosting their own private ceremonies. SITSA is set to break this mould by bringing together the talent from the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam industries. As the television industry completes 50 years of its journey, this initiative is being hailed as a long-overdue recognition for the artists and technicians who enter millions of homes every day.
Voices from the Industry
Prominent figures from the TV world shared their excitement during the curtain raiser:
-
Yata Satyanarayana (Director): "In 50 years of TV history, we have never seen an event of this scale that unites all four Southern languages. Madhu’s determination has made this possible, and we will offer our full support to make the Hyderabad event a grand success."
-
Senior Actor Prabhakar: "Many have dreamed of an event like this but backed out due to the massive logistics and costs involved—flights, hotels, and travel for artists from four states. Madhu and the Raghava Media team have shown immense courage to turn this dream into a reality."
-
Kaushik (President, TV Artists Association): "We often looked at SIIMA and wondered why there wasn't a similar platform for serials. SITSA fills that void. It’s a proud moment to see the hard work of TV technicians and actors finally getting the respect it deserves."
The Visionary Behind the Event
Madhu, the organiser of SITSA and a veteran casting director with years of experience across all South Indian industries, expressed his emotional connection to the project.
"Having provided artists for serials across all four languages for years, I always harboured a dream to create a unified award ceremony. With the support of the industry bigwigs and my dedicated team, that dream is finally coming true," Madhu stated.
Save the Date: The Grand Finale
The main SITSA Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on April 26, 2026, at Sarathi Studios, Hyderabad, starting from 5:00 PM. The event promises to be a spectacular celebration of the creativity and resilience of the South Indian television industry.
The curtain raiser saw the participation of SITSA Chairperson Sudha Hiremath, along with producers and artists including Teja, Sahana, Shruti, and Pravalika, among others.
