King of Entertainment Sree Vishnu is set to entertain audiences with his wholesome entertainer "#Single," presented by the prestigious Geetha Arts banner. The film stars Ketika Sharma and Ivana as the female leads, with Vennela Kishore playing a key role. Karthik Raju has directed this film, which is presented by Geetha Arts' mega-producer Allu Aravind and produced by Vidya Koppineedi, Bhanu Pratap, and Riyaz Chowdary under the Kalya Films banner. The already released teaser, trailer, and songs have created significant buzz around the movie, which is slated to hit theaters on May 9th. In a recent press meet, lead actress Ketika Sharma shared her insights about the film.
How did you get into this project? How was your experience working with Geetha Arts?
-It has been my long-time wish to work with Geetha Arts. When Allu Aravind Garu presents a film, you can be sure it has amazing content. When I got the call for this movie, I was thrilled that I was finally working with Geetha Arts. I really enjoyed the story when I heard it. It's a very fun-filled film, a very good entertainer with a perfect star cast.
How will your character be in this movie?
-I will be seen as Poorva in this film. She is a very independent and practical girl. The emotional element in this story comes through my character. Even though there are some serious elements, it's an out-and-out romantic comedy entertainer. The love story in this film is also very interesting, and my character is very relatable.
How was your experience working with Sree Vishnu Garu?
-Sree Vishnu Garu is a wonderful person, very simple and very humble. He was also very supportive in terms of acting. Sree Vishnu Garu's comedy timing is very unique. He improvises dialogues on the spot. His performance is very spontaneous. Working with him was a really great experience.
How was your experience working with Ivana?
-Ivana is very beautiful and a lovely girl. We have one or two scenes together on screen. However, off-screen, we became very good friends. She is a very positive person.
The surprise song "Adida" you did in "Robin Hood" went viral. Is there any such dance number in this film?
-I was very happy that the "Adida" surprise song went viral. There is no such dancing number in "Single." This is an out-and-out fun-filled entertainer, a well-packaged and super entertaining film. You will laugh wholeheartedly throughout the movie.
Tell us about director Karthik Raju Garu.
-Karthik Garu is a very passionate filmmaker. He has a very clear vision. He has clarity on what he wants. He has shaped this film into a highly entertaining movie. He makes everyone on set feel very comfortable.
Are you happy with your career?
-I am very happy with my career. Winning and losing are not in our hands. Only working is in our hands. I always try to celebrate my career without thinking about the results. I truly consider it a privilege to continue as an actress.
Do you have any dream roles?
-I would like to do a film like Rashmika Mandanna Garu's "Girlfriend" which is coming in Geetha Arts. Rashmika Garu's character in that film is very beautiful. Doing such a character is my dream. Also, I want to do performance-oriented roles like Sai Pallavi Garu and Keerthy Suresh Garu are doing.
Did you find any scene difficult while doing this film?
-Comedy is very difficult. Doing comedy is not that easy. The interval bang in this film felt very challenging to me. Matching Sree Vishnu Garu's timing is very difficult.
Tell us about your upcoming projects.
-I am doing a film in Hindi. I am also doing a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. There are a few more projects, which the makers will reveal.
What would you like to tell the audience about "Single"?
-"Single" is releasing on May 9th. Everyone, please come to the theaters with your family. This is the summer romantic comedy of the year. It's a film that will make the audience laugh their hearts out.
