The 'OG' mania is sweeping across the nation. Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s latest release, OG, which hit theaters on September 25th, has opened to super-hit talk and is dominating the box office. The film's initial massive anticipation was largely fueled by one crucial element: the 'Hungry Cheetah' glimpse.

The ferocious track, with lyrics like "Nethuruku marigina hungry cheetah... shatruuvunu enchite modalu veta..." (A hungry cheetah thirsty for blood... if it picks a foe, the hunt begins...), sent goosebumps through fans and generated so much pre-release buzz that the film barely needed further promotion.

The Hidden Talent Revealed

What many audiences don't realize is the story behind the song's voice and lyrics. The sensational track was sung and penned by a young music director who is quickly becoming Tollywood's go-to talent: R.R. Dhruvan.

Often credited simply as Raghuram for his lyrics, his full name is Raghuram Dhruvan. He is proving his versatility by simultaneously succeeding as a music director (for films like Mitramandali, Usha Parinayam, and Lambasingi), a dynamic lyricist, and a popular singer.

A String of Chartbusters

Dhruvan first made his mark as a lyricist with the chartbuster songs "No Pelli" and "Hey Idhi Nene Na" from Sai Dharam Tej’s Solo Brathuke So Better. Since then, he has consistently delivered hits, including:

  • "Radhe Radhe" (Climax song in Prabhas's Radhe Shyam)

  • "Nee Chuttu Chuttu" (Ram Pothineni's Skanda)

  • "Proud Se Single" (Mad)

  • "Naa Ready" (Thalapathy Vijay's Leo)

  • "Romeo ki Juliettu" (Ghani)

  • And now, the massive 'Hungry Cheetah' from OG.

As a music director, his scores for Usha Parinayam, Lambasingi, and Mitramandali have been praised. Songs like "Teliyade" from Miles of Love and "Kangaaru Padaku" from Bapu have become viral hits.

He has also gained widespread recognition as a singer with popular tracks like "Bombay Pothava," "Dio Dio," and the current sensation, 'Hungry Cheetah.'

The OG Phenomenon

Dhruvan's name is echoing loudly thanks to OG. The 'Hungry Cheetah' track was used almost eight times in the film for Pawan Kalyan's high-octane elevation sequences. Pawan Kalyan fans are showering praise on the lyricist, celebrating the song as a track that will be "celebrated for a decade." With his multi-faceted talent, R.R. Dhruvan is quickly cementing his position as one of the most exciting young names in the industry.
