"Director Jains Nani Promises Full-On Fun in K-Ramp — A Youthful & Family Entertainer Starring Kiran Abbavaram"
The talented Kiran Abbavaram is ready to light up this Diwali with his upcoming film “K-Ramp”, a lively entertainer directed by Jains Nani. Produced by Razesh Danda and Shiva Bommak under the banners Hasya Movies and Rudransh Celluloid, the film is set for a grand theatrical release on October 18. Director Jains Nani, in a candid conversation, shared fascinating insights about the film’s concept, making, and promises of non-stop entertainment.
Why the Title ‘K-Ramp’?
Explaining the title’s origin, Jains Nani said the name was chosen to perfectly reflect the character and story. “Our hero’s name is Kumar, and the ‘Ramp’ signifies his journey — the highs and lows he experiences through life. We didn’t pick it for shock value or boldness; it simply matches our narrative. It’s unique, catchy, and memorable,” he explained.
A Clean Yet Youthful Film
Addressing assumptions based on the trailer, the director clarified, “Despite a few edgy lines, K-Ramp is a clean, family-friendly film. We designed the promotions to first grab youth attention, as they’re our primary audience. Once they enjoy the movie, their families will follow. The story is deeply relatable and emotional, with entertainment woven throughout.”
He further added that parents will connect strongly with the theme. “This film isn’t just about comic moments — it’s built on a solid story with engaging sequences. The interval block will be a big surprise,” he teased.
From IIT Madras to Filmmaking
Sharing his personal journey, the IIT Madras alumnus revealed that his passion for cinema began long before engineering. “I’ve always wanted to make films. While at IIT, I started with short films that luckily did well. That gave me the confidence to pursue my dream in Tollywood,” he said.
The director also spoke about his collaboration with Kiran Abbavaram, saying, “We worked for a year and a half to shape this story. Kiran was deeply involved during scripting — he shared inputs but gave complete creative freedom. We followed the script faithfully and completed shooting in just 47 days, without major reshoots.”
Heroine Selection and Character Arcs
The film introduces Yukti as the female lead. Jains Nani explained, “We conducted acting workshops and rehearsals before the shoot. Yukti brought great energy to her role and shared a wonderful screen chemistry with Kiran. The first half focuses on the hero’s arc, while the second half shifts attention toward her story.”
Kerala Backdrop and Local Flavour
To give the film a fresh, colorful setting, the team opted to shoot in Kerala. “The story partially unfolds in Kerala, which adds new visual layers, regional humor, and distinct local flavor,” said Jains Nani. He added that even the background score draws inspiration from Kerala’s musical styles, enhancing the authenticity. The team filmed in picturesque colleges and scenic locales across Kerala, adding visual richness to the film.
Music, Comedy & Confidence
K-Ramp features three songs, carefully placed to maintain narrative flow. “We didn’t want to interrupt the story with too many tracks,” the director said. “The background music is a major highlight, and audiences will love it in theatres.”
The filmmaker is confident in his final product: “There’s strong competition this Diwali, but I believe our film offers something vibrant and different. We’ve watched K-Ramp many times during post-production, and each time, it makes us smile. It’s a fun-filled entertainer that will engage both youth and families.”
The movie also features Kamalini Jethmalani in a special cameo, alongside Naresh in humorous sequences. “At its heart, K-Ramp is about joy, energy, and human connection,” said Nani. “We’re inviting audiences to laugh, connect, and celebrate with us this festive season.”
