"Prabhas’ Pan-India Epic ‘Fauzi’ Unveiled on His Birthday — A Soldier’s Tale Set in 1940s India"

The wait is finally over! The makers of Rebel Star Prabhas’ most anticipated Pan-India project, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, have officially announced the film’s powerful title — ‘Fauzi’. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with T-Series, and presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar, this grand historical saga promises to be one of the biggest cinematic events of 2026.

A Title That Defines Bravery

Unveiled on Prabhas’ 46th birthday, the title poster of ‘Fauzi’ captures the essence of valor, rebellion, and sacrifice. Set during colonial India in the 1940s, the visual features the tattered British flag engulfed in flames, symbolizing freedom and uprising. A Sanskrit shloka embedded within the design draws inspiration from the Mahabharata, describing the protagonist as "like Arjuna who triumphed over Padmavyuha, like Karna but on the side of righteousness, and like Ekalavya, a warrior without a teacher." This sparks intrigue about Prabhas’ larger-than-life role — a soldier who embodies courage, intelligence, and justice.

Visual Grandeur and Mythic Undertones

The intense close-up of Prabhas, sporting a commanding mustache and fierce eyes, perfectly encapsulates the film’s tone. The tagline, “A Battalion Who Walks Alone,” amplifies his identity as a lone hero who fights destiny itself, reflecting both the emotional and patriotic spirit of the narrative. With Hanu Raghavapudi’s signature storytelling style, audiences can expect a fusion of poetry, romance, and war-time drama that transcends conventional historical cinema.

A Stellar Cast and Technical Team

Fauzi features Imanvi as the leading lady opposite Prabhas, alongside celebrated veterans Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Jaya Prada, and Bhanu Chandar in pivotal roles. The visual and technical depth is being brought to life through an exceptional crew — Sudeep Chatterjee (ISC) as Director of Photography, Vishal Chandrasekhar composing music, Anil Vilas Jadhav on production design, and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao heading editing. The VFX is supervised by RC Kamalakannan, promising a breathtaking visual spectacle.

A New League for Hanu Raghavapudi

Director Hanu Raghavapudi, best known for emotionally charged works like Sita Ramam, is venturing into new territory with Fauzi. The film’s grand scale and pre-independence setting mark his most ambitious project yet. His blend of romantic intensity and nationalistic fervor positions Fauzi as a rare cinematic experience that is both visually massive and emotionally stirring.

Release and Multilingual Reach

Fauzi will release in six major Indian languagesTelugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali, broadening its reach across the nation. The film is reportedly scheduled for an Independence Day 2026 release, aligning perfectly with its theme of patriotism and freedom. With its bold concept, magnetic lead performance, and top-tier craftsmanship, Fauzi is shaping up to redefine the idea of Indian war epics on a global cinematic scale.
