Mythri Movie Makers to Present Malayalam WWE-Inspired Action Comedy “Chatha Pacha – Ring of Rowdies” Across Telugu States
Marking a new milestone for Malayalam cinema, “Chatha Pacha – Ring of Rowdies” is gearing up for release as the country’s first WWE-style action comedy. The movie will reach audiences in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana through Mythri Movie Makers, one of the top Telugu production and distribution companies known for their grand-scale releases.
The film, directed by Advait Nair in his debut outing, comes from Reel World Entertainment, a collaboration between the Trans World Group and Lensman Group. The project’s core team features Ramesh, Ritesh Ramakrishnan, Shihan Shaukkath, S. George, and Sunil Singh as key backers.
Starring Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Ishan Shaukkath of “Marco” fame, Vishakh Nair, and Pooja Mohandas in lead roles, the film brings together a powerful mix of fresh energy and action-driven humor. Supporting roles are played by seasoned actors including Siddique, Lakshmi Menon, Manoj K Jayan, Khalid Al Ameri, Rafi, Muthumani, and several others.
Pan-India and Global Expansion
The Malayalam version will be released in Kerala under Wayfarer Films, the banner owned by Dulquer Salmaan. Hindi-speaking regions will see distribution by Dharma Productions, marking their first-ever Malayalam film release, while PVR Inox Pictures will handle jurisdictions across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
With global distribution managed by The Plot Pictures, “Chatha Pacha – Ring of Rowdies” will have a multi-language release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, spanning more than 115 countries worldwide.
Spectacle and Sound
Taking inspiration from professional wrestling entertainment and its larger-than-life personas, the movie promises high-octane action sequences set in an underground wrestling arena in Fort Kochi. Its recently launched teaser has stirred massive online buzz, thanks to its distinct visual style and character designs.
The film’s music is created by the acclaimed trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, with lyrics written by Vinayak Sasikumar. T-Series holds the official music rights.
