The team behind Mohanlal's ambitious Vrusshabha has launched its first track, Appa, marking an emotional start to the promotional rollout for this heartfelt cinematic venture. Directed by Nanda Kishore, the song encapsulates the profound father-son connection that drives the film's core narrative, positioning it as the emotional heartbeat of the story.
Sam CS composed the soul-stirring melody, featuring vocals by Vijai Prakash for Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu versions, and Madhu Balakrishnan for Malayalam. Lyrics are tailored culturally by Vinayak Shashikumar (Malayalam), Kalyan Chakravarthy Tripuraneni (Telugu), Kartik Kush (Hindi), and Nagarjun Sharma (Kannada), preserving the universal theme of paternal bonds across languages. Released under T-Series, Appa sets a poignant tone ahead of the film's worldwide Christmas release on December 25, 2025.
Nanda Kishore explained the choice: “Appa launches our musical campaign because Vrusshabha revolves around an untold father-son tale. Sam CS captured its essence perfectly, offering audiences an early glimpse into the film's soul. More tracks will reveal deeper layers soon.” Sam CS added, “Nanda's narration struck a personal chord, especially with Mohanlal's gravitas at the center. We kept it authentic to honor the story's warmth.”
Starring Mohanlal alongside Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, Nayan Sarika, Ajay, Neha Saxena, Garuda Ram, Vinay Verma, Ali, Ayyappa P. Sharma, and Kishore, the bilingual (Malayalam-Telugu) film includes dubbed Hindi and Kannada versions. Technical prowess features Resul Pookutty's sound design, dialogues by SRK, Janardhan Maharshi, and Karthik, and action by Peter Hein, Stunt Silva, Ganesh, and Nikhil.
