TG Vishwa Prasad & Maruthi on Vision, Genre and Box-Office Targets
Producer TG Vishwa Prasad revealed that the journey of The Raja Saab started three years ago as a horror comedy, but gradually evolved into a large-scale horror fantasy with massive sets and visual grandeur. He confidently stated that Indian cinema has rarely witnessed a fantasy film of this scale, adding that the movie blends horror, comedy, romance, action, and emotion in a balanced way.
He further disclosed that:
-
The film has phenomenal buzz in the Telugu states, with strong traction in North India and Karnataka as well.
-
4,500 screens are being locked across North India alone.
-
The team is confident of crossing ₹100 crore in global collections on Day 1, reflecting their belief in Prabhas’ pull and the film’s entertainment quotient.
Director Maruthi spoke emotionally about the effort behind the film, saying that the Raja Saab mansion set felt like home for almost one and a half years of shoot. He credited Thaman for elevating the film with his music and reassured fans that Prabhas will appear exactly the way audiences want to see him—stylish, fun, and larger-than-life.
Maruthi added that early premiere shows will begin shortly and promised that viewers will enter theatres with excitement and walk out with “double happiness,” likening the film’s mood to a Disney-style fantasy filled with colour, humour, and heart.
