Gritty First Look: Soori Joins Forces with Director R. Ravikumar for Mythri Movie Makers’ Third Tamil Outing

The powerhouse production house Mythri Movie Makers has officially announced its third venture into the Tamil film industry, tentatively titled #MythriTamil03 (and #Soori07). This highly anticipated project brings together acclaimed actor Soori and visionary filmmaker R. Ravikumar, known for his expertise in the sci-fi genre. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, the film promises an intense cinematic experience.

A Haunting Visual Reveal

The project was unveiled with a striking and atmospheric poster that sets a dark, survivalist tone. In the image, the protagonist (Soori) is seen from a rear perspective, standing waist-deep in murky, debris-filled floodwater.

The surroundings are a scene of total devastation—overturned household items and a gas cylinder float amongst the wreckage. Clutched in his hand is a weapon, while a haunting red glow emanates from a nearby doorway. The chilling tagline, “BLOOD FOLLOWED THE FLOOD,” suggests a story where natural disaster is only the beginning of a much more violent struggle.

A Powerhouse Collaboration

This film marks a fascinating shift for the core team involved:

  • Soori: Currently riding a wave of critical acclaim following intense performances in Viduthalai and Kottukkaali, Soori continues his streak of serious, lead-driven roles.

  • R. Ravikumar: After mastering science fiction with Indru Netru Naalai and Ayalaan, the director appears to be stepping into a grittier, more grounded territory.

  • Mythri Movie Makers: Continuing their aggressive expansion into Kollywood, following high-profile projects like Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly and Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude.
