The rustic village entertainer Turrum Khanlu, which celebrates the authentic Telangana dialect and nativity, is currently the talk of the town. Produced under the Star Film Factory banner, this out-and-out comedy has finally made its way to Aha OTT, and the response has been nothing short of explosive. Social media is currently flooded with viral clips from the film, leaving audiences wondering how they missed such a gem during its initial release.

The Plot: A Lockdown Love Triangle (of Sorts)

Set in the vibrant village of Tupakulagudem, the story weaves together the lives of three distinct men during the chaotic COVID-119 lockdown:

  • Shankar (Nimmala Sriram): A local youth leader desperate to marry his cousin Lalitha (Aishwarya Ullingala). When the lockdown stalls his wedding, he blames the eccentric Viraj Brahma.

  • Viraj Brahma (Devaraj Palamoor): An older bachelor who unintentionally disrupts Shankar’s plans while trying to kickstart his own romantic affair with Bharati (Puli Sita).

  • Vishnu (Avinash Choudhary): Shankar’s friend who is struggling to reconnect with his estranged lover, Padma, amidst the village restrictions.

How these three love stories collide, the hilarious revenge Shankar and Vishnu plot against Brahma, and the ultimate resolution of their romantic woes forms the crux of this laugh-out-loud entertainer.

Why It’s Trending

While the film had a modest theatrical run, its transition to OTT has unlocked a massive new audience. Director N. Shiva Kalyan is receiving high praise for capturing the raw, organic humour found in rural life.
