Marking a major collaboration in contemporary Telugu cinema, the official launch of the upcoming family drama Idupu Kayitham took place grandly today with a traditional muhurtham ceremony. Jointly produced under the prestigious banners of Sukumar Writings and Bunny Vas Works, the film features versatile actor Priyadarshi alongside popular Telangana folk singer and YouTube sensation Nagadurga making her debut as the leading lady.
Adding star-studded gravity to the launch event, acclaimed Kollywood filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj attended as the chief guest to officially unveil the film's evocative first-look poster. Ace producer Allu Aravind sounded the ceremonial clapboard to kickstart the first shot.

Directed by young filmmaker Vamsi Reddy Dondapati, Idupu Kayitham is an emotionally driven family entertainer set entirely against a rich Telangana backdrop, specifically drawing elements from towns like Jammikunta and Illanthakunta.
While the movie heavily encapsulates regional dialect, food, and native lifestyle, the core plot addresses a universal household issue concerning daughters and their in-laws. Producer Bunny Vas highlighted the script's global appeal, stating:
"We are building this film on a remarkably strong emotional spine. Even if it were screened in Bihar with subtitles, audiences there would deeply connect with it. It tackles a common relationship dynamic present in every family. Once the film releases, it will actively strengthen the bond between daughters, sons, and their respective in-laws."
Co-producer Thabitha Sukumar added that as a proud Telangana woman born and raised in Hyderabad, the script immediately reminded her of childhood family situations, prompting her to instantly back the project under Sukumar Writings as a milestone venture.

Headline star Priyadarshi expressed immense pride during the launch, drawing parallels to his previously celebrated native drama, Balagam. Debutant heroine Nagadurga, celebrating her 25th birthday at the launch, thanked the producers for recognizing her digital folk music roots and trusting her with the heavy emotional character of Srilatha.
