The Tamil industry woke up to a rude shock today as one big news rocked the Tamil cinema. In what could be said as bad news, noted comedian and filmmaker, Manobala passed away in Chennai earlier today at his residence in T Nagar.
Manobala was suffering from liver-related issues and he was 69. Manobala started his career in Tamil cinema in the early 1970s and with Kamal Haasan's reference became an assistant director with Bharathiraja for his 1979 film Puthiya Vaarpugal.
He died on Wednesday morning at his residence, reportedly due to liver issues. The film industry in Chennai is sending its condolences to the actor and his family. Big stars like Suriya, Karthi, Vikram, and many others have posted their shock over the death of Manobala.
Not many know that prior to this, the veteran actor had also undergone an angio-treatment in January after experiencing chest pain. Manobala has also acted in Telugu films in the past. He is known for his comedy timing and posts on Twitter. Rest in Peace the legend.
