'Bichagadu 2' is a hit in Telugu. Despite being a Telugu-dubbed movie, the action drama is doing better than in Tamil.
There is an element in the movie that makes it corrupted and vicious. Vijay Antony's character villainizes the capitalist class, portraying billionaires as parasites. Whipping up the hazy term 'Anti Bikili' (which is meaningless, much like the hero's insane rants), he goes to the extent of saying that rich people are why many poor people are dying of hunger every single day.
This is the kind of misguided language socially deviant and sick Maoists talk. Films should desist from espousing such dangerous ideologies.
Billionaires and corporates have only had a net positive impact on society. Just the example of Jio is enough. Cheap data in India has literally empowered crores of people, both middle-classes and those below the poverty line. Capitalists employ millions in direct and indirect jobs. Corporates pay lakhs of crores in taxes, which are in turn used to finance welfare schemes.
Films should be the last ones to besmirch rich people. After all, rich producers are the reason why we have the pan-India phenomenon today.
