'Adipurush' dialogue writer faces threat, seeks security

'Adipurush' has become a polarizing movie, with Hindu groups taking a strong exception to some lines in the movie. The film's original dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir, as per a national media house, has sought police security from the Mumbai Police in the wake of incessant online abuse and the barrage of criticism that he has come to face.

Twenty hours before this request to the Mumbai police, T-Series announced that the controversial dialogues in the movie will be modified. The film's dialogue writer last week stated that 'Adipurush' is not Ramayana but only a story "heavily inspired" by the epic written by Valmiki. His comment triggered many Hindus.

Speaking at a presser related to the movie on Monday, People Media Factory's TG Vishwa Prasad (who is the Telugu version's presenter) said that the movie has been liked a lot by those who are watching it without a preconceived picture in mind. Mythri Movie Makers, which has released 'Adipurush' in Nizam, believes that the Prabhas-Om Raut movie is an unequivocal hit among those below the age of 20.
