'Yatra 2', directed by Mahi V Raghav, will go on the floors soon. Last Saturday, at the NATA event in the US, the film's announcement poster was released. The political drama, based on the meteoric rise of YS Jaganmohan Reddy, will be released in theatres in February 2024.
Exactly a week later, the makers unveiled a motion poster. We see the video glimpse beginning with YS Rajasekhara Reddy's popular greeting to cheering crowds: "Namaste Babu.. Namaste Akkayya.. Namaste Chellemma.. Namaste..," the greeting goes.
We then see a youngster, clad in white, walking atop a structure symbolizing assurance and promise. The young leader, who is none other than Jagan, repeats what YSR's character in 'Yatra' famously mouthed: 'Nenu vinnanu, nenu unnanu'.
Produced by Shiva Meka, the film will come out on the banners V Celluloid and Three Autumn Leaves. Madhie is going to crank the camera. Santhosh Narayanan is going to compose music. He is also doing Prabhas' 'Project K' these days.
Recently, Mahi said that 'Yatra 2' will inevitably have to be a pre-election release for it to garner good collections.
