It is not a Prabhas film if it doesn't get postponed repeatedly. 'Salaar' was first supposed to be released in theatres in April 2022. It was later postponed due to the second wave of the pandemic in 2021 after 'Radhe Shyam' was postponed to March 2022.
'Salaar' is now fraught with a second or third postponement. The film won't be hitting the screens on September 28.
Latest media reports are saying that Hombale Films has decided to call off its release due to unknown reasons. Probably, director Prashanth Neel is not satisfied with post-production.
The postponement comes days after advance bookings were opened in North America. Refunds should not be an issue. Remember that 'RRR' was postponed from January 2022 to March that year just a week before its scheduled release?
'Salaar' might hit the screens in December this year. If that happens, Nani's 'Hi Nanna', Venkatesh's 'Saindhav' and a few other films might have to rethink. If the release is in the first week, Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' will face a challenge.
