Mythri Movie Makers has announced the release date of 'Pushpa 2'. Director Sukumar's pan-India movie will hit the screens on August 15, 2024.
The makers have chosen a Thursday as the release date obviously because it is a public holiday. Like this year's Jawan, Allu Arjun's movie will enjoy the additional advantage of an extended weekend. On its first Monday, there will be a Raksha Bandhan holiday.
The release date reflects a conscious effort to maximize the openings in Hindi. The film's release should have happened by the end of this year. Till recently, the makers appeared confident of a 2023 release.
'Pushpa 2', headlined by Bunny, will complete its shoot by March next year. The 'Rangasthalam' director is yet to shoot about 50% of the pan-India flick. With music by Devi Sri Prasad, the film has Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine. Fahadh Faasil is playing a massive role. His first look was released recently.
